Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am—2 pm. A Nurse is available Monday through Friday from 9 am—11 pm
For over 80 years, TCNA has been providing nursing services to the townspeople of Tamworth at no cost to the patient. TCNA nurses routinely provide a wide variety of services, including (but not limited to):
* Home visits for treatment, safety checks, emotional support, and hospice care * New baby visits * Child height, weight and scoliosis check ups * Blood pressure, heart rate, and respiratory system checks * Nutrition assessments * Evaluation and treatment of wounds * Foley catheter changes * Coordination of services with agencies responsible for Fuel Assistance, Tamworth Caregivers, local pharmacies, and food pantries * Creation of living wills, DNR’s, and health care proxy * General office hours * Loan of durable medical equipment, including wheel chairs, walkers, crutches, bed rails, canes, Hoyer lifts, shower chairs, incontinence supplies, bed pans and more * Coordination of treatment with primary MD’s * Flu clinics * Consultation with families on care issues for clients and advocate for patients and their families * Pre and post partum checkups * Diet and exercise counseling * Act as Salvation Army officer to help people in need, disburse discretionary funds * Blood draws * Suture removal * Work with Tamworth Community Christmas Project
MEALS ON WHEELS TCNA administers the Tamworth Meals-on-Wheels Program. Ossipee Concerned Citizens prepares meals that MOW delivers to over 44 people daily. MOW provides for not only nutritional needs, but also a daily check-in for some participants. Volunteers are always needed and gas reimbursements are available through RSVP and the kindness of some local businesses.
